MOTHER GOES VIRAL AFTER TELLING GAY SON TO NOT WORRY ABOUT BRINGING BF TO THEIR HOMETOWN

A netizen’s post has gone viral after revealing that his mother advised him not to worry about what others may think of his sexual orientation.

Twitter user @jznamata31 shared how lucky he was to have his mother.

In the tweet, he said he was unsure if he’d bring his gay partner to his city for fear of having his family be judged by others.

“I was hesitant to bring my partner sa hometown namin sa Calapan because of the possible gossips saying na “yung anak ni ano.. bakla, dala yung jowa nya,” he wrote.

“My mama knows that we’ll be staying on a nearby resort because I was trying to avoid what others may think of me that may cause gossips towards my family.”

However, his mother told him not to worry about anything.

“…but mama sent me this message to stand tall and proud,” he added.

Based on the screenshots he shared, his mother told him that his family will support him with whatever he wants to do.

“Anak basta tandaan mo mahal na mahal kita anuman sabihin sau ng tao nakasuporta ako sau.

“Wag mong ikahiya kung ano ka wala kang responsibilidad sa ibang tao tandaan mo yan, stand tall and proud,” she told her son.

Gays in the Philippines remain committed to fighting off discrimination.
